MICHAEL W. ARRINGTON, a Director at the firm, joined Parkowski, Guerke & Swayze, P.A., in 2000 after eight years as the Director of Special Court Services for the Family Court of the State of Delaware. He practices in all of the Delaware courts on a wide range of litigation areas including domestic relations, commercial, contract, eminent domain, environmental, and creditor rights. He is a director with the firm and manages the Wilmington office.

Mr. Arrington is admitted to practice in Delaware, Maryland, District of Columbia, and the United States District Court for the District of Delaware. He is member of the Delaware State Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association, American Bar Association, and related family law sections.

After graduating from St. Joseph's College (B.S.) in 1978, Mr. Arrington attended Villanova University (M.A.) and was awarded his J.D., cum laude, from Widener University School of Law. He was inducted into the National Jesuit (Alpha Sigma Nu) Honor Society, Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, and the national legal fraternity Phi Delta Phi. In addition to his work in the legal profession, Mr. Arrington served for 14 years as a secondary school administrator and managed classical musicians.

Mr. Arrington also has served as consultant and policy advisor for the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, National Center for State Courts, and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
